Hampers of India

Two kitchens, one idea.

Hampers of India began the way most honest things do — over chai, at a family gathering, between two women who were tired of gifting feeling like an afterthought.

We are Komal and Urvisha — sisters-in-law, homemakers, and now co-founders. We spent years putting together hampers for our own family — for Diwali, for birthdays, for no reason at all — because a thoughtfully assembled gift says something that a gift card never will.

People kept asking us where we ordered them from. We didn’t. We made them. And that question, repeated enough times, became a business.

Why this matters to us

India is full of women who run their households with the precision of a general manager — budgets, logistics, quality control, people management — and none of it shows up on a résumé. We know because that’s us.

Hampers of India is our proof that the skills we already have are enough to build something real. And we want it to be proof for other women too. As we grow, our goal is to work with women across India — artisans, home bakers, small-batch makers — and give their work a stage it deserves.

This is not a side project. It is a business run by women who happen to also run families. We take both seriously.

What we believe

  • A gift should feel like you meant it.

We curate every hamper as if it were going to someone we know. Because someday, it might.

  • Indian women are already entrepreneurs.

Running a household is management. We want to help homemakers turn that into a livelihood — starting with ours.

  • No shortcuts on what goes inside.

If we would not send it to our own family, it does not go in the hamper.
